Medium-sized companies in digital change

According to Bitkom Research, specialized in market research for the digitalization of the economy, more and more companies are implementing digital processes. For the recently published study "Digital Office im Mittelstand 2019" 613 companies with 20 to 499 employees were surveyed.

For 47 percent, digital organization and administration is already an integral part of everyday office life. Many companies have recognized for themselves that huge mountains of paper, long searches in files and the administration of their own archives are associated with a high cost and time factor. Competitiveness is increasingly dependent on productivity. Efficient processes such as the rapid capture, filing and retrieval of documents are therefore becoming increasingly important. According to the study, the majority of companies implement these processes with Enterprise Content Management Systems (ECM).
