From 14 to 16 May 2019, the "Datenschutzkonferenz 2019" (Eng.: "Data protection conference 2019"), one of the trend-setting conferences on the subject of data protection and data security, will take place in Düsseldorf, Germany. Data protection experts from industry, business, finance and consulting meet annually, to discuss the latest developments in this area.
This year the interest is particularly high, as the numerous registrations show. One reason for this is probably that less than a year after the GDPR came into force, the first conclusions can be drawn, for example on the current state of implementation in companies, the practical handling of affected persons' rights as well as warnings and fines. Facts, information and actions on these and other data protection issues provide experts in their lectures.
Among the speakers is our external data protection expert, Ines Krumrei. She will report on "Secure data processing thanks to a cross-site data protection management system" using REISSWOLF's best-practice example. We will also be happy to answer your questions personally at our exhibitor stand. For us as an analogue and digital data protection authority, the professional handling of data of all kinds, taking into account the current GDPR, is a matter of course and is part of our daily work. This applies to digitisation, archiving and just as much to the data and document destruction.
The venue for this year's data protection conference is once again the historic Industrie-Club Düsseldorf. Founded in 1912 and closely associated with names such as Thyssen-Krupp and Henkel, it has always seen itself as a meeting place for the intellectual exchange of leading personalities in the Rhine-Ruhr region in Germany.
